SMU ICON Global Village 2017

SMU ICON – International Connections student body and Office of Dean of Students (Diversity, Inclusion & Integration) organized a meaningful event to celebrate and enhance cross-cultural understanding. The two weeks event allows everyone to experience a multitude of cultures from diverse countries right on campus. With trick-eye backdrops, food samples, cultural immersion installations, film screenings and more, we welcome you to join us for an exciting line-up of multisensory educational experiences.

Global Village, ICON’s was kicked off by SMU President Prof. Arnoud De Meyer, Dean of Students Prof Paulin Tay Straughan, Saudi Cultural Attaché Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Dhelaan of the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Singapore, and Counsellor of the High commission of Canada to Singapore Mdm Toby Laura Schwartz.

icube events was privileged to assist SMU in creating the master design of the exhibition, fabrication of the Korean house, as well as trick-eye backdrops for the different countries.
